Exercise:
Proper exercise under the guidance of your doctor and physical trainer is a must. Exercise will raise your HDL cholesterol. Run, swim or use a bicycle for exercise. You must exercise for at least 30-40 minutes every day.
Familial High Cholesterol
High blood cholesterol values could be a hereditary disorder. In case, there is a history of heart disease in your family, inform your doctor.
It is advisable to check your blood cholesterol levels regularly after the age of 30 years. With a strong family history of heart disease, you may get your cholesterol checked even at a younger age and every year.
