Marengo CIMS Hospital Celebrates World Organ Donation Day with Uplifting Awareness Program

Marengo CIMS Hospital celebrated World Organ Donation Day on 13th August 2025 with a meaningful program aimed at creating awareness regarding the life-saving function of organ donation. Organized by the Nursing Department and Transplant Department together, the event aimed at involving, educating, and motivating people to support this sacred cause.

The session started with a touching skit presented by the nursing staff, depicting the emotional process of both recipients and donor families. By strong storytelling, the act communicated how a single individual’s choice to donate can spread hope and life among many others, having ripple effects of change through families and communities.

In the performance session, Dr. Chintan Sheth gave a thought-provoking session that focused on how important organ donation is in India, the myths that hinder people from making a pledge, and the life-altering difference every donor can make. His session reiterated that organ donation is not merely a medical procedure but a very human decision that takes compassion beyond one’s death.

The conference also included a poster presentation by transplant coordinators and nursing students. The innovative presentations depicted facts, statistics, and motivational stories in creative ways that helped participants grasp the medical, ethical, and emotional aspects of organ donation in an interesting visual manner.
