I would like to share my experience with Marengo CIMS Hospital, Ahmedabad, during my elder brother Mr. Dhirendrabhai Ajmera's treatment and surgery for a **pancreatic tumor**.

First of all, my heartfelt appreciation goes to **Dr. Manish Gandhi** and his entire surgical team. They are highly skilled, knowledgeable, professional, and truly exceptional at what they do. The surgery was performed perfectly, and we are extremely grateful for their expertise, dedication, and compassionate care.

I would also like to specially mention that there is a **relative of ours working in the hospital**, Mr. **Keval Changdiya**, who is an **MD Consultant Neurologist** in one of the departments. He provided us immense support throughout the treatment. He used to visit us daily, continuously guided us, and whenever any additional or different medication was required, he personally ensured it was provided. He also remained in constant coordination with **Dr. Manish Gandhi**, which greatly helped in smooth and effective management of the case.

The **nursing staff** deserves special recognition. Every nurse was polite, supportive, patient, and always ready to help. Whenever we needed assistance, they responded promptly with a smile and made us feel comfortable throughout our stay.

The **male attendant staff** was also helpful and cooperative. However, the number of attendants appears to be insufficient considering the large number of rooms. At times, it took longer for assistance to arrive because they were attending to multiple patients. Increasing the attendant staff would significantly improve the overall patient experience.

One area that urgently needs improvement is the **lift management system**. The patient lift should be reserved exclusively for patients and medical emergencies, while visitors and relatives should use separate lifts. This would make patient movement faster, safer, and more efficient.

Another major concern is the **waiting and overnight stay arrangement for relatives when a patient is admitted to the ICU**. The current facilities are not satisfactory. The sofas provided for attendants were unhygienic and had insects, making it extremely uncomfortable to stay overnight. This issue requires immediate attention and improvement.

Overall, the medical treatment and professionalism at Marengo CIMS Hospital are excellent, especially the doctors and nursing staff. With improvements in attendant staffing, lift management, and ICU attendant facilities, the hospital can provide an even better experience for patients and their families.
