World Organ Donation Day – Answer the Call, Pass the Baton of Life

On 13th August each year, the world unites to celebrate a cause that can change lives — World Organ Donation Day. It is a day to spread awareness about the life-transforming effect of organ donation and invite people to take the pledge and give another a gift of life.

In India, a new name is added to the waiting list for an organ transplant every 10 minutes. Unfortunately, not all of them receive the call that they so desperately require to stay alive. The difference between the organs available and the patients waiting is enormous, and the solution starts with awareness and willingness.
