Knowing when and what to eat can make a difference in your workouts, whether it’s a casual workout or training for a competition.
Consider the following tips:
• Eat a healthy breakfast one hour before your workout. It can be Low – fat milk, juice, bananas, yogurt, etc.
• Eat after you exercise. One can have food choices like fruits, peanut butter sandwich, pasta, salad, chicken with brown rice etc.
• Don’t forget to drink plenty of water. You need adequate water before, during and after exercise to help prevent dehydration.
• Always eat small, frequent healthy meals as opposed to large heavy ones.
