Marengo CIMS Hospital has updated its visiting policy guidelines in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, which has affected healthcare systems worldwide. The hospital recognizes the importance of the support of loved ones and families during medical treatments, but the health and safety of patients and visitors are of the utmost importance. The following is a detailed discussion of the updated visiting policy guidelines:

Effective March 10, 2020, all visiting hours at Marengo CIMS Hospital have been suspended with immediate effect until further notice. This means that no visitors are allowed in the hospital until the restriction is lifted. The hospital expects full cooperation from all patients, their families, and visitors during this period.

Patient caregiver/companion passes will be issued per patient as per the hospital policy. In the case of outpatient visits, only one relative will be allowed to accompany the patient. If the patient is in a wheelchair, two relatives will be permitted to accompany the patient. For admitted patients, patient companion passes will be distributed based on the admission class. For general/twin class rooms, one patient companion pass will be issued, while two patient companion passes will be issued for single/suite class rooms. No patient relatives will be allowed in the critical area of the hospital.

Entry into Marengo CIMS Hospital will only be allowed through the ground floor at the drop-off point between Marengo CIMS Hospital East and West. All staff, visitors, consultants, and patients will undergo screening before being permitted to enter the hospital. The hospital requests the cooperation of everyone in undergoing screening by the security personnel.

The updated visitor policy guidelines aim to maintain strict infection control measures and minimize the risk of COVID-19 transmission within the hospital premises. The hospital acknowledges the importance of family support during medical treatments but urges everyone to adhere to the restrictions to help the hospital handle the current health crisis.

Marengo CIMS Hospital’s updated visiting policy guidelines are in place to prioritize the health and safety of patients and visitors during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
